Who keeps your data

Whose site is this, and how do I reach you?

This site belongs to Michiko Ito Golf. The books and the membership carry the same name.

My address for everything is business@japangolfway.com.

A simple visit

Do you watch me when I read this site?

No. There is no account and no sign-up form here.

No advertising cookies. No tracking pixels. No Google or Facebook trackers. No analytics scripts.

Cloudflare hosts the site. It processes your IP address to send you the pages and keep them safe.

Links from my videos

What is recorded when I tap a video link or QR code?

My /go/ links, “?src=” codes and QR codes record a few things: the time, the video or link, the page it opened, and your country. They also record a scrambled code made from your IP address.

I never store the IP address itself. The code cannot be turned back into it. This shows me which videos help.

One small cookie stays 30 days. It only keeps the same version of the book page for you. It is the only cookie this site sets. Hotmart's checkout has its own cookies, under its own policy.

When you buy

Who sees my payment details?

Hotmart does. Hotmart collects your name, email, billing and payment details. The card number stays with Hotmart; I never see it.

Hotmart tells me your email, what you bought, the price, your country and the video or link you came from. For book orders, I keep only a scrambled form of your email.

As a member

What do you know about me if I join the membership?

Hotmart sends me your name, email, country and time zone. Also your membership status and dates, and the video or link you came from.

I use these to send your letters. The letters tell me if they arrived and which links were clicked.

A checkout left open

Will you email me if I stop before paying?

Maybe. If a checkout is not finished, or the payment fails, Hotmart may give me your name and email.

Then I may send two reminder emails at most. One click is enough to stop them. If you already bought, I do not write.

What happens to the messages I send you?

I keep your message and your email so I can answer you.

After 90 days the full raw copy of the email is deleted. The text stays, so our conversation can continue.

A little AI help

Is AI used when you answer me?

An AI writing assistant may help me draft replies, so answers come faster. Your message is used for that and nothing else.

Why do you keep any of this?

To deliver books and letters. To answer questions. To process a refund when you ask. To learn which videos help.

Sometimes, to tell you about other Michiko Ito Golf books. Each of those emails has an unsubscribe link.

Not for sale

Do you sell my information?

Never. I do not sell or rent personal information. I do not share it for advertising.

Which services touch my data?

Hotmart: payments, book delivery and membership billing. Resend: sends my emails.

Cloudflare: hosts the site, stores my data and receives emails sent to me. Each one has its own privacy policy.

Your choices

How can I stop emails or remove my data?

In every email there is a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also reply with the single word “unsubscribe”.

Anywhere in the US, California too, you may ask to see, correct or delete your data. Send your request to business@japangolfway.com. I answer within 30 days.

Hotmart keeps its purchase records too, because the law requires it.

Time kept

How long is my data kept?

Membership data: while you are a member, until you ask me to delete it.

After an unsubscribe: only a scrambled “do not email” note, so no email reaches you again. Order records: as long as the law requires.

For adults

Can children use this site?

The books and membership are made for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Page updates

Will this page change?

If it changes, I update the page and the “Last updated” date.
